The Buffalo News reports on Emmet Belknap Middle School that is using this program to get students into school every day. At the end of each quarter students with perfect attendance can have a chance to win prizes.

The Boston Globe reports on this college and a program in Massachusetts that allows students with cognitive disabilities to be able to go college.

Rio Salado College Article…

The Arizona Republic reports that this college is going to cut the cost on some selected text books.

The article says that ACC250 book will go for for just $81 instead of last term’s $160. The Mat122 algebra book has gone down to $62.50 from $131.15.

The books used are going to be customized textbook that have only what is needed for the class taught.

Chiseka School In Malawi Article…

The Associated Press reports on this school in Malawi that has only six classrooms, but has over 1500 kids in it. The school is the best in the area though with 40 kids passing the eighth grade exam while 30 of them did so well they can go onto secondary school. The school also has no lights and water.

that in Georgia since 2002 an increase of 24.5% has occurred in the amount of black males that are going to college in that state. Only 17,068 went to college in 2002 and now it is up to 17,068.

is now going to let any state in the USA use a “Growth Model” to assess student performance. She says that it will expand flexibility of the NCLB bill.
