They look at two different sets of years in this report. The years of 1994-1997 and 2002-2005. They found higher GPA of Praxis test takers in the years of 2002-2005, higher verbal SAT scores for all people taking the exam, higher math SAT scores for all taking the exam.
They did showcase that the passing rate has dropped big time for all races, especially for African Americans.
on math teacher preparation in six countries is out. Counties included are Taiwan, Korea, US, Bulgaria, Germany, and Mexico.
The report says that Taiwan and Korea are at the top in all five areas of mathematical knowledge. US though is generally weak compared to Taiwan and Korea in all areas, but the US is good against German teachers in statics.
The report also says that potential teachers in Taiwan and Korea take way more classes that covered advanced topics than them potential teachers in the US take.
