Lenfest Foundation Has Announced…..
a 10 million challenge grant in order to get more teachers from the Teach For America Program to come and teach in the Philadelphia Area. Lenfest is going to give 1 million bucks a year starting in 2009 if the local school district will support 300 teachers a year and raise 1 million bucks from other sources.

in New Jersey 27 school districts in South Jersey are going to have to cut property taxes in order to get more funding from the state for education.

a plan that is going to allow Columbia University to expand by 17 acres a few blows north of the main campus.
