The Chicago Tribune reports on this program for 11th and 12th grade students in the area. Students in this after school program spend two years learning about being a cop and a firefighter. Students in the program must pass a drug exam, have a 2.0 GPA, and a 95% attendance rate.

The Hartford Courant reports that community college students in Connecticut that earn at least a B average and get an associates degree will be 100% admitted into anyone of the six universities in the state.
