The Buffalo News reports on this school and ESL students. The article says that the school district has 115 students from 18 different countries speaking a grand total of 19 separate languages.

away with letter grades in the elementary grade levels in order to stop grade inflation. They are going to go with a 1-5 number system. A 1 score being the lowest with five being the highest.

If you are going to it this way the letter grades can still do the same thing.
