The Philadelphia Inquirer looks at students from the Worrall Elementary School that all have Asperger syndrome. The students work together with a speech therapist to put together a news broadcast. Included is a video showcasing a piece of the broadcast.
The New York Times looks at this Brooklyn High school that has won awards as far back as 1937 and was in danger of being shut down in the 1990’s. Most of the students in the school are black and Hispanic.
Included is an audio slide show that was nice to listen to.
in New York is going to allow 12,000 students in the NYC area that are in trouble of dropping out to take college classes along side of high school courses. This can allow them to get a high school diploma and a 4 four year college degree in seven years.
This is a great idea for these students.
