have become only one of seven states to wind up calling a school “persistently dangerous.” The state has labeled 5 of them in this category. To wind up on that list, 2.5% of its student body must have been suspended for arson, possessing a weapon or drugs, assaulting a teacher or other student, or sexual assault.

on the NCLB bill is out. They got data back from 349 school districts. 62% of the school districts say they have increased time spent on English and math instruction. 44% say they have decreased instruction time in a subject such as science, art, or social studies.
Around 9% of school districts said the school day was increased.

says that 1,220 students who received an associate degree from a community college in 2003 when onto a public university in the state. 392 more of these students left the state for another college.
