has come out with a new report on the NCLB bill and students who got tutoring. The looked at nine big school districts and found that scores improved in five out of the nine school districts for math and reading, but they did not say which ones.

has proposed a more nuanced way of evaluating students under the NCLB bill. The new plan will differentiate between schools that are close to meeting state math, reading and science standards and those that are chronic under performers.

like the Morris and Duluth campus are going to be seeing tuition drop by around 1,000 bucks. Other colleges in the state are going to be seeing smaller than expected tuition increases though.

the latest on the changes to property taxes voters may pass in January. If changes are passed the 67 school districts plan to lose over 7 billion bucks by 2012 though the lawmakers in the sate will find a way to make up that lost amount.
