Wake County Schools Want…

a May 18th deadline for parents to send to them information if they want to send their kids to a year-round school. The school district needs this information first before they find out how many schools are going to run under the traditional school calender.

Some options the school board is thinking of for schools running under the traditional school calendar are splitting the gym into 4-6 classrooms, 42 kids in a kindergarten classroom but have two teachers for two separate classrooms, and using classrooms such as the art, music, and computer room as regular classrooms.

In other student loan mess news the New York Times reports on a cruise that JP Morgan Chase gave to 200 officials 2 years ago and the cost for this event was over 70 grand.

They also report that Teresa S. Shaw who is the chief official responsible for overseeing the loan program is stepping down.
