has passed that will ease high school classroom sizes to up to 32 students in one class.

National School Board Association Survey

is out with some shocking stats in it.

23.6% of teachers surveyed say that most students at this school will not be successful in a community college or University.

77.2% of teachers though say they can score well on a standardized exam.

28.7% of teachers agree that students at this school are not motivated to learn, but….

86.5% of teacher say that we are preparing them to be productive citizens.

Association For Supervision And Curriculum Development Report….

This group has come out and says that students have to change from ones that are based on just test scores to ones that called a “whole child.” A whole child is healthy, knowledgeable, engaged in the arts, and prepared for employment in a global economy.

The idea they post is interesting and I do think my idea for a curriculum is flexible for a high school student and is something that is truly needed in the school system. I will agree with them on mentors in the school system though.

has toughen high school graduation requirements. All high school students will take four years of math, science, social studies and English. Middle schools students must master a set of skills or they will not move onto the next grade.
