that private schools were not up to snuff on academic performance Edison Schools want to expand the role that they have in the school district. They operate 20 out of th 41 private schools in the school district.

Mission San Jose high school do not meet special requirements for the Chinese Advanced Placement exam. The College Board is only going to have this test online. The school does not have the computers with a sound card, software to translate English letters into Chinese letters, and a bunch of other requirements.

Is now expanding into the Indianapolis Public School System. 900,000 bucks is needed to get the program into the school district and the program hopes to send 50 teachers a year to that school district.

That University of Northern Iowa’s 6 year graduation rate is the highest ever.

8th Grade Middle School Students In The Detroit….

Public Schools will now all be required to take a college-level life skills class for one college level credit. The cost of this program is going to run 200 grand a year.

Although I think this is an interesting idea, we really need to see eighth graders take a career exploration class instead. That class will improve college graduation rates more than this idea will.

John Carroll University Is Going….

to give students who have family income under 40,000 an almost free education. Grants are going to pay for most of the tuition, fees, room, and board. Students will have come up with 3,500 to cover the remainder. students living in a dorm will have to pay a 2,000 fee.

The tuition along with room and board per year at the college come in around 33 grand per year.
