on teachers in Texas is out. They would like to see teachers get paid more if they perform well and who take on tougher assignments, improve data collection on teachers and schools, improve teacher preperation, and make it easier to fire bad teachers.

bill is on track. She also says she is open to proposals to perfect and tweak the program, but she does not want to do major re-write of the bill.
A major re-write is the only thing that is going to make this bill work imo.
