One article is on ohio school districts that are going to pay students for doing well on state exams.  They can earn up to 100 bucks in a year.
The second article is on voluntary set standards for the educational system.

The Virgina House Passes A Bill…

that will force high school students to take a two-sequence set of vocational education classes in order to graduate from high school.

Two classes IMO is not enough for some fields.  Under my plan I have students going through a minimum of four one period classes and one three credit-hour on the job training class to get a certificate of completion.  Even that idea wont fully work for some students if they live far way from on the job training.

Even California Does Not Like Parts

of the NCLB bill.  The state likes the way it handles student performance, but the federal government wants them to calculate student performance in another way.
