In the Cobb County school district passsed the Georgia High School Writing Test on the first try. Students are still going to have to pass the language arts, mathematics, social studies and science test in March in order for them to graduate.

going to be teaming up with Marian College in order to get those 150 new teachers into the classroom. Starting salary is going to be just over 34 grand and the people in the program are going to have to pay 6,000 for the courses. Through this program they are going to hire 50 new teachers a year.

Assistance grants article is up at the Houston Chronicle. The Kolter Elementary School got a 500,000 dollar grant to start teaching Mandarin Chinese in the classrooms.
