Students Are Going Through Private….

learning centers to get credits for high school graduation says the Salt Lake Tribune.   One student is going to get credits for 10 classes through this path to graduate from high school.

Teachers are critizing some of these types of programs becuase they feel it leaves students with no skills in the end.

Utah law now says that they must accept any of the credits gotten through privaye programs.

Some of these programs do not have tests for the students to take which is a complete no-no.  They has to change or the program must be dumped.

being left behind due to changes in rules on who can be a teacher in that country.  They talk about one teacher who had over 20 years of experience who had to take an exam, but in the end failed the exam by one point.  The article says some people paid officials around 6,400 bucks to get a job.

will help create 10 career academies.  Students in this school idea keep the same teachers while they go through high school.  This approach hopes to lower the amount of high school dropouts.
