that the new plan for all day kindergarten lacks enough resources and enough space for the extra classrooms. The extra classrooms can easily cost an extra 200 million which is not budgeted for in the all day kindergarten plan the article says.

closer in getting new merit scholarships bill passed. The bill would allow a student who passes the ACT exam 1 grand as a freshman, one grand as a sophomore and 2 grand at the completion of a 2 year degree. Students who fail the ACT exam would get 4 grand only when they get the two year degree.
