that new Ohio Core curriculum plan is going to create a two-tired college educational system.

I agree with them though.  You can opt out of the tougher graduation standards, but only get accepted into three college in the state.  That is a complete no-no.

are hiring fewer and fewer uncertified teachers that lack experience says the Capital News service.  In the 2005-2006 school year only 1/3 lacked experience, a few years ago it was 70%.

that no single credential or single quality that is the silver bullet to predicting teacher quality.  The main focus of this report is on teacher pay though.

The report gets into stuff as merit pay for teachers and pay for high needs areas.  It gets into what states like North Carolina and school districts such as the one in Philadephia have done on teacher pay.

This report is a good read.
