who come from Spanish-speaking families in the Cleveland area took part in a six week program that boosted test scores.  84% saw gains in the language arts and 75% saw gains in math.

The Connecticut Center for School Change Report….

on teacher hiring in the state of Connecticut. They go into what you need to become a teacher in that state. The report also says:

The longer a school district waits to hire a teacher the lower the quality of the teacher.
The poorer a school distict is, the lower the amount of qualified teachers the school district has. Same goes for new teachers hired as well.
School districts with more poorer students have teachers that leave quicker.
Although the school districts in the state used various methods to say they have job openings high paperwork volume of paperwork slowed down the hiring process.
That nearly 1/3 of people in this study plan to leave the school district they have to do poor support or mentoring programs.
