Virtual Science Classes Are Under Debate….

in this New York Times article. The report says that students in the virtual online biology classes for the 2005 year had final exams scores beating the national average in two schools.

Imo you can do some, but not all expirements at home through a virtual school. It would be nice if we could allow students in a virtual school to go to a regular school to do some expirements.  I have problems giving out even A.P. grades to students with no real hands-on lab work.

changing the college educational system it has.  They have now created three elite universities so of like Ivy Leage schools in the USA.  The three colleges will get 100 million in the next five years.  They will also start to charge tuitiuon for the first time as well.

but officials in the city of Detroit are saying that school population is over 115,000 students.  Some predictions has the number under 100 thousand.

wants to have random drug testing of high school athletes.  If this idea gets passed it will be the largest drug testing program in ther USA.
