They have come to an agreement that will allow the DISD to hire forty bilingual teachers for the next school year.

I say it stinks that we do not have enough qualified legal US citizens to fill this job.

as India for low cost e-tutoring.  The article says that tutor.com charges 40 bucks an hour US for online tutoring while TutorVista which uses mainly people from India costs 2.50 an hour.

This article by the USAToday people looks at how this school has such a low dropout rate. The school has a small population, no gym, no football team, no band, and wear uniforms. Over 90% of its students are in low-income families.
They also have up three video reports on this schools as well.
