must change the passing grade on tests during the school year in order to meet NCLB rules and regulations. A change in the passing grade could mean that some students will have to take the test again because they would have failed it.
The State Of Utah Wants….
some changes made to part of the NCLB. They want more money for school districts where the are is 50% plus federal land because that cuts into property taxes.
Alomst Twice As Many Schools and School Districts….
in the state of Kansas are no meeting NCLB rules due to the increased amount of testing. 58% of high school meet AYP goals this year along with 63.4% of K-8 kids.
A new Report Out From The Appleseed People….
says that school districts are are not giving parents enough information on the NCLB Bill. Parents are also not given timely information as well. They go on top say that poverty, limited English proficiency, and varying cultural expectations are barriers to parent involvement.
Educators In California….
are saying that no school, even the high performing ones will meet NCLB AYP goals for 2014.
