Only California was able to get a C rating.  New York though was the only other state to wind up improving in college affordability while still getting a F grade.<\/p>\n<p>They say that since 1982 college tuition and fees went up 439% while medical care came in second place at 251%.<\/p>\n<p>On other categories such as participation, and completion a some states were able to get A ratings.<\/p>\n<p>I will say this though, if they did just a look at in-state tuition as a separate calculation you certainly will get more states not getting that F rating.   <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>and a whopping 49 states got an F rating on college affordability.
