Article <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/news\/education\/la-me-dropout4feb04,0,6569875.story?page=1\">one<\/a> is                 on a program for dropouts where students work independently at                 home completing assignments and only see teachers a couple of                 hours a week.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/news\/education\/la-me-dropoutsfix4feb04,0,4461380.story?coll=la-news-learning\">second<\/a> one                 is on different educational programs that some LA schools are                 using.<\/p>\n<p>The LA Times                 continues with the special report on high school drop-outs. Article <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/news\/education\/la-me-explainer3feb03,0,6191656.story?coll=la-news-learning\">one<\/a> is an interview with William Schmidt, a professor at Michigan State University and just like me wants a tougher curriculum standard for all students.<\/p>\n<p>Article <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/news\/education\/la-me-dropout3feb03,0,6111121.story?coll=la-news-learning\">two<\/a> is on a group called the outsiders. It started out with 11 people in 2001 and only a few graduated on time in 2005. Some of them skipped alot of classes and some got kicked out of the home they were living in.
