{"id":3003,"date":"2007-06-01T13:52:46","date_gmt":"2007-06-01T17:52:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.myeducationalplan.com\/?p=3003"},"modified":"2007-06-01T13:52:46","modified_gmt":"2007-06-01T17:52:46","slug":"middle-school-survey-out","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.myeducationalplan.com\/?p=3003","title":{"rendered":"Middle School Survey Out&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pdkintl.org\/ms_poll\/07ms_poll_highlights.pdf\" title=\"pdkintl.org\">Phi Delta Kappa<\/a> people is out.<\/p>\n<p>The middle school students are very optimistic people.  92% say they will definitely or probably attend college.  93% say they will not drop out, BUT with they have looked at only 83% graduate from high school and 66% go onto college.<\/p>\n<p>Around 85% feel at least somewhat prepared to succeed in high school.<\/p>\n<p>58% only know a little about high school graduation requirements.<\/p>\n<p>From reading this survey I think that the middle school years are going to have to be more of a transitional time period for the high school years.
