The average amount spent per child though over the past few year has been dropping while spending has increased.  The total amount going to pre-school is almost 943,000.<\/p>\n<p>38 states funded pre-school education.<\/p>\n<p>Only the states of Oklahoma and Georgia were able to have over 50% of 4-year-olds in pre-school.  Alabama and North Carolina though were the only states to meet NIEER\u2019s quality benchmarks.<\/p>\n<p>Included in the massive report are state profiles for every state.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>has finally released a 2006 report on pre-school education.
