The public cost for one year of these dropouts is 377 million bucks or a whopping 19 billion over a 50 year time period.  They go on to say that the state spends more money per year on a dropout then a regular school children if you exclude local and federal funding sources.<\/p>\n<p>The reports says that 2 billion per year in taxes is missed due to these dropouts.
