has a new report out on California schools that into a restructuring phase. The amount of schools in restructuring phase has almost doubled in one year. The report says that only 10 schools have been able to get out of restructuring, but only one of the eight schools that was able to get to get out of restructuring was able to meet AYP goals.

The report looks at what some schools and school districts have done to fix educational problems. North Tahoe Middle School grouped students by skill level and that improved grades. Palmdale Elementary District Look Before You Leap guide from the Southern California Comprehensive Assistance Center to help make changes. Other schools are looked at as well.
