on the local school board eliminating 300 teacher jobs to save around 25 million bucks.
New NCES Study Out Looking….
at long term trends in NAEP scoring for math and reading. They look at only the 9, 13, and 17-year olds.
The reports shows that racial gap is not really getting any lower for both math and reading.
9 and 13 year olds in reading when it comes to the lowest performers did have a nice bump up in scores in the past four years though. That is the only spectacular thing in the whole report imo.
