in the state of Illinois now fall more than 200 million short to pay the colllege bills. The unmet need has gone up 50% in the last five yers for that state.

To help students this fall MAP grants are going to go up to $4870 which is a $350 increase.

Popular Ohio Program…..

called the Ohio Tuition Trust Authority is in trouble and may have to have a bailout in order for the program to survive.

The program allows parents to buy credits to help pay for college. A full of tuition can be had for 100 credits and one credit costs 95 bucks today.

A Study By The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum….

says that students need art education.  The report says that students that have been in the Guggenheim program called Learning Through Art performed better in six categories of literacy and critical thinking skills than students eho did not do this program.

Iowa Disagrees With The Department Of Education….

on weather students with disabilites should be counted as test-takers. Students in question are less than one percent of test-takers in the state.
